Chilliwack FC To Develop Strategic Plan

July 21, 2019

The Chilliwack FC Executive is proud to announce that it has embarked on a process to develop a strategic plan for the club. This plan will map out what the club aims to achieve over the next five years (2020-2024). Chilliwack FC has contracted the services of Capitis Consulting Inc. to work with the club and its stakeholders on this critical project.

With over 2,000 members, Chilliwack FC is the largest sports organization in the Chilliwack community. Originally created for youth, the club has evolved to include adult teams to provide a path for players to “play the world’s game” from ages 4–44 or even older.  The club is active year-round with two main playing seasons of Fall/Winter and Spring with additional select activities and camps offered during the summer months. To meet members’ needs, both recreational teams with an emphasis on fun and more competitive, skill-building development teams are offered.

“Our goal is to provide a soccer club that all our membership is proud to support,” says Andrea Laycock, Chilliwack FC chairperson. “Thank you to Capitis Consulting for taking the first steps with Chilliwack FC to establish our strategic plan and helping to bring our organization to the next level.”

In the following months, Chilliwack FC participants including players/parents, volunteers, coaches, referees, and community partners, will be asked to provide their feedback to Capitis Consulting through surveys and discussions.

“We’re excited to work on this project with Chilliwack FC, and we applaud the club for taking the initiative to create a strategic plan,” Paul Varian, Capitis Consulting President said. “With the experience of our Capitis team, we believe we can work with Chilliwack FC to assist in plotting the course ahead for the organization.”

As its mission statement, Chilliwack FC seeks to offer a safe, progressive learning environment, in which all players and stakeholders can participate and benefit from the sport of soccer while developing positive, lifelong experiences. For more information, visit www.chilliwackfc.com
