Prospects Program Overview
This program is designed to provide a higher level of training to our ambitious, young 7-9 yr olds. By offering a more development oriented soccer program as an alternative to house miniball for these ages we can achieve this. Our club is following the guidelines set out by the Canadian Soccer Associations Long Term Player Development document that addresses player development from 5 years and up.
Our goal to develop young soccer players who are both comfortable and confident with the ball at their feet. There are many programs available for elite young players in BC and we would like to see young CFC players well represented at this level in the future.
2017 Spring Prospects Program
Our 2017 Spring program will run for 10 weeks from mid April till late June. Training sessions will be held once per week. In addition to the training we partner with other clubs in the Fraser Valley to provide an exhibition game format for our Prospects players. These Game Days will be hosted at various locations in the Valley including Chilliwack. It is expected our teams will participate in 5 to 6 Game Days held on weekends during the Spring program.
The fee for the 2017 Spring Prospect Program will be $170.00.
To participate in this program we ask that you pre register your child for our Prospects Try Outs to be held in the early spring. No payment is collected at time of pre-registering, this will be collected after your child is selected to the program
U8 Prospects Program (Fall/Winter)
U8 Prospects includes one session per week with Prospects staff coach, 5-6 Game Days in the fall and 7 weekly sessions of Futsal after Christmas. The U8 Prospect Players are permitted to register for both the Prospect Program and the Fall Recreational (House) Program. Registering in both programs gives you the extra training with the Prospect Staff Coaches, as well as weekly games with the Recreational (House) Program.
