Kickin’ It Back To The Community

Christmas will soon be here and we have a challenge for you!
Last year our Senior Men and Women’s Teams collected a HUGE pile of socks and underwear to donate to Ruth and Naomi’s, a local mission here in Chilliwack that works with those who experience poverty, homelessness and addiction.
This year we are asking our U5 – U18 Teams to work together and bring in as much if not more than the Senior Teams! The items collected will be used to put in the Christmas Hampers that Ruth and Naomi’s Mission deliver, as well as to stock their warehouse to give out to those in need over the cold winter months.
We have a very large yellow barrel in the Chilliwack FC Office that is ready to receive your donations. This is what Ruth and Naomi’s Mission have asked for:
- Biggest need is Men’s warm socks and underwear
- Long Underwear would be great, but would not go in the hampers, but would go to their warehouse where people can take what they need
- Women’s and children’s socks and underwear can also be included in the Christmas Hampers.
- Men’s Toques
- Men’s Warm Gloves (toques and warm gloves are always in need)
